    Viewing Area

    2 inches
    left or right
    (for lock)
    1/2"
Please note: the following borders should be considered to avoid design conflicts with enclosure framing and locks. The silk-screened Plexiglas is 1/4" smaller than the frame dimensions. Subtract a 1/2" from the glass border and you have your maximum viewing area. All switches, text, symbols, etc. need to be kept at 1/2" away from the viewing area boarder. The door lock is exactly 1 3/16" away from the glass edge.
  • The following dimensions are used to lay out switches:
       Push buttons - 1 1/4" on center
       Large toggles - 1 1/4" on center
       Rotary switches - 1 3/8" on center*
          * Rotary dial is 1" in diameter and turns at 30 degrees increments for ON/AUTO/OFF.
  • Solid filled white walls are preferable over hollow two-lined walls.
  • Multicolored screens should be sent with each color on a separate layer.
LED's:
  • LEDs are available in: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, & Blue
  • LEDs should be 1/2" apart on center and not less than 3/8". The symbol should be 1/4" in diameter, and not less than 3/16".
Fonts:
  • If using a font that is not included in AutoCAD's standard font library, copy it onto the disc as a separate file. Optionally, we can substitute a standard ARIAL font.
  • Font height should be no smaller than .094.
Artwork:
  • Custom logos should be sent either on disk, or as camera ready art. Photocopies and faxes do not produce satisfactory results.
  • Camera-ready artwork should utilize a .35 pen width or larger. If your want your company logo on the annunciator, please plot it along with your artwork.
  • High translucency .003 mil./single matte mylar will produce the best results for silk-screening. Vellum will also work if the lines are dark and there is not a lot of detail in the drawing.
  • All artwork, except YOUR camera-ready artwork, will be completed by us, and submitted to you for your final approval. The submittals can be faxed, mailed, or sent via UPS. If there are NO exceptions, please fax your approval to proceed. If there are changes, please make your corrections on our submittal and circle them in red so that there can be no mistake as to where the changes are. The corrected plan will resubmitted for your final approval, prior to fabrication of your annunciator. Do not send disks or Order Forms with changes made.
Delivery:
  • When not using AutoCAD 2000® or lower, please utilize DXF formatting.
  • Remove all unnecessary items including wiring, devices, conduits, etc., before translating your drawing, sending ONLY what you want to appear on the annunciator faceplate. Drawings over 1.44 Megs are too large and should be ZIPPED to reduce download time.
  • Do NOT fold camera-ready artwork. Roll the artwork and ship in a protective tube.
  • Please include annunciator location and enclosure orientation.
  • A transmittal letter and print should accompany your disk whenever possible.
NOTE: UL requires our logo and model number to appear on the annunciator. We will apply our logo to your artwork unless otherwise directed.
